He joined GoAnimate in 2011, because he sincerely believed that making a video shouldn?t be a drag ? it should be drag & drop. For this leader in cloud video creation, he manages all commercial activities, including sales, marketing, PR, business development and customer service, along with corporate strategy and legal.
Prior to GoAnimate, Gary served on the Executive Committee of Live365, the internet radio pioneer. Prior to that, he was the COO of Wego.com, a Singapore-based price comparison travel search engine considered ?the Kayak of Asia.? Prior to Wego, he was with Mediacorp Raintree Pictures, Singapore?s feature film studio, concentrating on film financing and international sales. Prior to Raintree, he served as a strategy consultant with Yahoo! Southeast Asia, tackling a variety of strategic, operational and financial issues.
Before INSEAD, Gary was an award-winning corporate television writer-producer in Chicago and Austin. He also wrote, produced and directed the English-language adaptations of over 20 anime franchises for ADV Films, including both ?fan titles? such as City Hunter, Legend of Crystania and Queen Emeraldas, and ?crossover titles? such as Tekken and Sonic the Hedgehog.
He holds a BA (Magna Cum Laude) from NYU, an MFA in Film from Northwestern, and an MBA (With Distinction) from INSEAD. He enjoys playing ice hockey, listening to reggae and collecting Balinese art.
